Cornwall Compass

We are an informal group of local citizens who campaign for democratic renewal. Many of us are party members drawn from Labour, Liberal Democrat, Mebyon Kernow and the Green party. However some of us have no party affiliation and believe that party politics in its present form is too polarising, tribal and divisive.

We meet informally online and the meetings are private. We stress the importance of this to anyone who is interested in joining us:

No one attending would be representing any organisation or party and the meeting itself will be conducted under a version of the Chatham House Rule, namely: participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, will be revealed publicly.

While the focus is Cornwall we are now operating under the umbrella of Compass, a national think tank,  and are in touch with other initiatives across the country. The ultimate aim is to deliver a truly representative democracy.
